PoliceOne.com Announces Strategic Partnership with the Street Crimes Training Seminar

Partnership reinforces PoliceOne’s position as the leading source for law enforcement training

SAN FRANCISCO – PoliceOne.com, the leading online information and training resource for law enforcement, today announced that it has entered into a partnership to take over operations of the Street Crimes Police Training Seminar, one of the premier law enforcement training programs in the market.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, Street Crimes will join PoliceOne’s training division, which includes the Calibre Press Street Survival® Seminar, placing PoliceOne at the forefront of police training. Together, the two seminars will provide law enforcement officers with the full spectrum of police training and techniques. While Street Survival focuses on training officers to stay safe and adopt the proper mindset, Street Crimes teaches techniques that officers can use to put criminals behind bars.

PoliceOne and Calibre Press will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and marketing of the seminar, leveraging both organizations’ significant expertise in effectively running law enforcement training seminars and delivering mission critical content. With joint marketing across both seminar properties and the power of PoliceOne’s brand and reach, both courses will be able to better connect with the many officers and agencies across the country in need of high quality training.

Founded in 1994 by Pat McCarthy, a 25-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, Street Crimes conducts 160 training seminars at departments across the country and trains nearly 5,000 officers in person each year. All Street Crimes Instructors have at least 25 years of street experience, allowing them to blend their many unique experiences in addressing key law enforcement topics like Patrol, Gang Crimes, Undercover work, S.W.A.T. Team and Federal Task Forces.

“We are thrilled to be headed into 2010 with Street Crimes as our partner in providing critical training to the law enforcement community,” said Alex Ford, CEO of PoliceOne.com. “The reputation Street Crimes has built as the leader in offensive tactics and techniques will serve as a perfect complement to Calibre Press’ focus on defensive, survival-focused curriculum, strengthening the ability of both seminars to reach officers across the country.”

“This is a really exciting partnership for our team and a great opportunity to reach the law enforcement market in new ways,” said Pat McCarthy, founder of Street Crimes. “Our expertise, combined with the reputation and experience of the PoliceOne and Calibre Press teams, will enable us to develop a training program that is stronger and more successful than ever before.”

McCarthy will join PoliceOne as a law enforcement subject matter expert, where he will contribute a monthly column and provide editorial consultation. He will continue to be involved in the growth and expansion of Street Crimes brand and curriculum.

With the partnership, PoliceOne will train nearly 15,000 officers each year at more than 200 locations between Street Crimes and the Calibre Press Street Survival® Seminar, reinforcing its position as the leading source for law enforcement training and information nationwide.
